Michael LeGoff – Managing Director
Graduated with Physics degree in 1983 and served as Canadian naval officer until May 1992. Worked for SNC Lavalin from May 1992 until August 1995 as an engineering/programme manager. Founded Dynex Power Inc. in September 1995, listed the company in 1998. As President and CEO grew the business in less than five years to 350 employees and £30 million in annual turnover -- ranked in top 50 fastest growing technology companies in North America by Deloitte and Touche for three consecutive years. Nominated as best new business by Ottawa Chamber of Commerce in 1997. Awarded NMI's most efficient British semiconductor manufacturing facility in 2002. After 10 years as CEO and President of Dynex, sold interest in business in May 2005. Joined Zarlink in December 2005 as Director, Business Development. Led the growth and divestment of the Zarlink foundry business based In 2009 developed the plan and successfully led the management buy-out of the Swindon-based semiconductor assets, Acquired the Plymouth semiconductor manufacturing facility from X-FAB effective 1 Jan 10, closed the Swindon manufacturing facility, integrated the Swindon business into Plymouth and renamed the business Plessey Semiconductors, consistent with the original name of the two sites. Completed MBA in 1998.
Christopher Simon Bailey – Plessey Semiconductors Financial Director
Started career in 1979 with AEI Semiconductors and Marconi Electronic Devices Ltd. Worked in various position in the divisions as AEI and MEDL were acquired by Plessey and GEC and working for GEC Plessey Semiconductors as the Finance Manager in Lincoln. Moved to being responsible for the finance function of the Plymouth Site, in addition to role as the Site Director, a co-coordinating role in respect of all the functions located in Plymouth. After GEC-Plessey Semiconductors was acquired by Mitel/Zarlink in 1998 became the Finance Manager World-wide Operations in 2000 to 2002 for Mitel/Zarlink including responsibility for six manufacturing sites across the world (3 UK, 2 Canada and 1 Sweden). Continued as the site manager and Finance Director following acquisition of the Plymouth site by XFAB. Remained as the director of XFAB UK Ltd for the past five years. Qualified FCCA in1987 and an HND in Business Studies.
Dr. Keith R Strickland - Plessey Semiconductors Technology Director
Over 15 years experience in senior technical roles in the semiconductor industry.
Holds a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Physics and Electronics (1987), Masters of Science degree in Semiconductor Devices (1988) and a Ph.D. in Solid State Physics (1992) from the University of Lancaster in the UK. Has published numerous technical papers and holds two patents relating to automated IC and ESD design methodologies
Neil Harper - Plessey Semiconductors Operations Director
During 29 years in the semiconductor industry Neil has held engineering, manufacturing, management and executive roles in the UK, Sweden and France.
Neil holds an honours degree in Chemistry from the University of London and a post graduate qualification in Advanced Silicon Processing and Manufacturing Technologies.
