Our policy of developing products for specific markets by exploiting our in-house process technology will ensure Plessey’s continued profitable growth. Our key market areas are Sensing, Power & RF/Analogue and can be differentiated by the use of our unique IC process technology.
In RF/Analogue, we will continue to extend our portfolio, exploiting our state-of-the-art high speed complementary Bipolar technology, including the latest SOI based platform which offers unsurpassed performance at 36V. Further developments in SiGe and SOI BiCMOS will continue to support RF product innovation.
For Power applications, we are exploiting our Bipolar and CMOS technologies to offer products from low voltage to off line regulation. Future process innovations based on SOI and GaN technology will enable Plessey Semiconductors to build a leading position in this market.
In the field of Sensing, our strategy is to exploit the inherent low dark current available from our CMOS technology. The Sensing products will cover the imaging of visible light through the non-visible spectrum, including radiation, for example X-rays. Furthermore, we are collaborating on electrical potential sensors and investigating a number of opportunities in machine and medical applications.
