Michael LeGoff

CEO

Founded Plessey with acquisition of Swindon assets in May 2009 and has led the business since that time. Prior to Plessey, in 1995 he founded a power semiconductor company, Dynex Semiconductors, which he listed in 1998 (CDNX:DNX) and sold his position in 2005. Michael holds a B.Sc in Physics and an MBA. He is a member of the IET, the AIAA and is a registered professional engineer

Barry Dennington

COO

Joined Plessey in December 2011. Prior to Plessey Barry was SVP at Philips Semiconductors in the USA and later SVP & MD of NXP UK Ltd. Barry began his career with AMI in the USA & UK and also worked with ST Microelectronics. Barry has successfully managed international teams in the USA, Asia and Europe including the definition of new operations in India and China. Accountability for performance included: P&L for organisations with over $400M sales, $150M budgets and 600 staff. Barry holds an MBA from Ashridge Management College.

Steve Cliffe

Business Development Director

Steve Cliffe has more than 25 years experience in the electronics industry with significant exposure to global markets and joins Plessey from eoSemi where he was VP Sales & Marketing. Prior to this Steve was CEO at ProVision Communications, CEO at Xintronix, VP of sales and marketing at Nanotech and Asia Pacific sales director at Dialog Semiconductor where he participated in the original management buyout prior to the company's IPO

Christopher Bailey

Financial Director

Over 30 years. experience starting in 1979 with AEI Semiconductors which became Marconi Electronic Devices Ltd and then GEC Plessey Semiconductors. After GEC-Plessey Semiconductors was acquired by Mitel/Zarlink in 1998 became the Finance Manager World-wide Operations in 2000 to 2002 for Mitel/Zarlink including responsibility for six manufacturing sites across the world (3 UK, 2 Canada and 1 Sweden). Became the Site and Finance Director following the acquisition of the Plymouth site by XFAB in 2002. Holds an HND in Business Studies and qualified FCCA since 1987.

Dr. Keith Strickland

Innovations & Technology Director

Over 15 years experience in senior technical roles in the semiconductor industry. Holds a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Physics and Electronics (1987), Masters of Science degree in Semiconductor Devices (1988) and a Ph.D. in Solid State Physics (1992) from the University of Lancaster in the UK. Has published numerous technical papers and holds two patents relating to automated IC and ESD design methodologies

During 31 years in the semiconductor industry Neil has held engineering, manufacturing, management and executive roles in the UK, Sweden and France. Neil holds an honours degree in Chemistry from the University of London and a post graduate qualification in Advanced Silicon Processing and Manufacturing Technologies.

Ian Cooper

Corporate Counsel

Extensive experience as an in-house lawyer in the Hi-Tec sector, with over 17 years in the Semiconductor Industry, working for North American and British Companies . A generalist, with broad exposure to international business including a period working in the USA, dealing with M&A, commercial contracts, IPR matters, litigation and more. Experienced as both a Legal Director/Manager, and as a project lawyer. Graduated in Law at the LSE, and worked in Private Practice as a Commercial Solicitor before joining Industry.

David Owen is an experienced senior manager with 25 years in the electronics and semiconductor industries where he has held various sales & marketing management positions and joins Plessey from Analogictech where he was Sales Director for EMEA. Prior to this David was Director of Sales for Sony Ericsson at Philips Lumileds Lighting & Global Key Account Manager at Philips Semiconductors. Previously he held various Marketing and Market Sector Management roles with Philips, GEC Plessey and Ferranti. David holds a honours Degree in Engineering and Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Myles Blake

Head of IT

30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry starting with Plessey Semiconductors in 1981 as a test engineer. Moved into the growing world of IT and helped guide the company through the IT evolution. Changed from software development into Project management through the companies evolution, based in the UK, Canada and Sweden. IT Manager at X-FAB UK, holding responsibility for all aspects of local IT as well as corporate project responsibilities. Holds a HND in Computer Studies and a Diploma in Management Studies.

25 years experience in the semiconductor industry, joining Plessey in 1987. Experienced as Team Leader for Photolithography, Diffusion and Films sections of Wafer Fabrication area before moving into manufacturing management role. Mike holds a Diploma in Management Studies.

Human Resources Manager

Over 20 years. experience in senior HR management roles both within the UK and New Zealand, including GEC Plessey Semiconductor, Motorola, British Aerospace and SmithKline Beecham. Pippa holds an HND in Business Studies and a post graduate Diploma in Personnel Management from the University of the West of England.
