Michael founded Plessey with acquisition of its Swindon assets in 2009 and has led the business since that time. Prior to Plessey, he founded Dynex Semiconductors in 1995, which was listed in 1998 (CDNX:DNX), before selling his position in 2005. Michael holds a B.Sc. degree in Physics, an MBA and is a registered professional engineer. He is also a member of the IET and the AIAA.
CTO / COO
Keith has over 20 years' experience in the semiconductor industry starting with GEC-Plessey Semiconductors in 1995, and has held various senior engineering, management, and executive roles within Mitel / Zarlink and now Plessey Semiconductors. Keith holds a B.Sc. Honours degree in Physics and Electronics, M.Sc. degree in Semiconductor Devices and a Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from the University of Lancaster in the UK.
Chief Finance Officer
Iain has over 20 years’ experience in private and public growth stage technology companies. Most recently, he was CFO of picoChip Inc. and Finance Director of Motion Media PLC, where he managed its IPO on the LSE in 2000. Iain holds a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry and is a qualified Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young where he specialised in corporate finance.
Financial Director & Controller
Chris has over 30 years’ experience starting with AEI Semiconductors which later became known as Marconi Electronic Devices Ltd and then GEC Plessey Semiconductors. After GEC-Plessey Semiconductors was acquired by Mitel/Zarlink in 1998, he became the Finance Manager World-wide Operations in 2000. The position included responsibility for six manufacturing sites across the world and he later became the Site & Finance Director following the acquisition of the Plymouth site by XFAB in 2002. Chris holds an HND in Business Studies and qualified FCCA since 1987.
Product Design Director
During his 31 years in the semiconductor industry, Neil has held engineering, manufacturing, management and executive roles in the UK, Sweden and France. Neil holds an B.Sc. Honours degree in Chemistry from the University of London and a post graduate qualification in Advanced Silicon Processing and Manufacturing Technologies.
Corporate Legal Counsel
Ian has extensive experience as an in-house lawyer in the Hi-Tec sector, with over 17 years in the semiconductor industry, working for North American and British companies Ian is experienced as both a Legal Director/Manager, and as a project lawyer with broad exposure to international business including a period working in the USA and dealing with M&A, commercial contracts, IPR matters, litigation and more. He graduated in Law at LSE and worked in Private Practice as a Commercial Solicitor before joining the industry.
Human Resources Manager
Pippa has over 20 years’ experience in senior HR management with roles within the UK and New Zealand, including GEC Plessey Semiconductor, Motorola, British Aerospace and SmithKline Beecham. Pippa holds an HND in Business Studies and a post graduate Diploma in Personnel Management from the University of the West of England.
Business Systems Director
Myles has over 30 years’ of experience in the semiconductor industry, starting with Plessey Semiconductors in 1981 as a test engineer. He moved into the growing world of IT and helped guide the company through the IT evolution. He moved from software development into project management through the company's evolution. Myles was also the IT Manager at X-FAB UK, holding responsibility for all aspects of local IT as well as corporate project responsibilities. He holds a HND in Computer Studies and a diploma in Management Studies.
Mike has over 25 years’ experience in the semiconductor industry, joining Plessey in 1987. He is experienced as Team Leader for Photolithography, Diffusion and Films sections of Wafer Fabrication area before moving into manufacturing management role. Mike holds a diploma in Management Studies.
Giuliano has more than 15 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing. Most recently he was the Business Development Manager for Cree Inc., covering Europe, Middle East and Africa. He holds a Diploma in Electronics, graduated in Economy and also holds an EXBA from the Politecnico University of Milano.
Communications & Customer Care Manager
Sabine has over 30 years’ experience in Sales, Customer Services and Marketing Communications, with roles within Germany, South Africa and the UK including Rittal UK, X-FAB UK and Plessey Semiconductors. Over the past twenty years, she has held senior management roles in Customer Care, Sales and Operations in global manufacturing, Electronic Engineering and Information Systems companies. She has overseen large projects ranging from engineering to supply chain and logistics and has managed teams on strategic accounts including HP, Dell, IBM and Melexis. Sabine holds a B.Sc. degree of Business Administration and Management (B.B.A.) from the University of Paderborn, Germany and is qualified in “Best Practise” from the Institute of Customer Service UK.
