Dr Keith Strickland to discuss microLED displays as a disruptive technology at 2019 FLEX Korea

On Thursday 20th June 2019, Dr Keith Strickland, co-CEO and CTO, of Plessey Semiconductors Ltd, a leading developer of award-winning optoelectronic technology solutions, will be discussing Plessey’s proprietary GaN-on-Si platform for microLEDs during the FLEX conference which will be held in Seoul, Korea.

The FLEX Conference, the premier event in FHE industry, will provide the latest technologies in FHE as well as their new applications such as foldable, wearable and automotive.


Building on its technological IP, expertise and many years of experience in the high-power LED lighting market and production of CMOS image sensors, Plessey has developed an advanced gallium nitride (GaN)-on-silicon (Si) technology platform. This platform is now enabling innovations for the manufacture of monolithic microLED arrays that will in turn be available to the emerging developers of disruptive microLED display applications.
